The Rodarte show looked spectacular... oh, to have seen it up-close! The sisters Mulleavy stated that the underlying philosophy was that one could "be scarred and still beautiful," and style.com's review of the collection described it as a tale that was "part Mad Max, part Tim Burton." This is fashion + art - pretention, and it equals magic.
