First Impressions
My seemingly epic search for the perfect lighting fixtures for the new apartment have led me to an iconic option for the entryway: the George Nelson bubble saucer lamp, which you may either recognize from the permanent collection at MoMA, or, more likely, from approximately 3 478 912 House Tours on Apartment Therapy. It's ubiquitousness aside, it's a great lamp, and one of the few upon which the boyfriend and I can agree on wholeheartedly. I'm just a little iffy on the size. The hallway is quite narrow at 46" wide, so we could either go with the small lamp at 7.5" x 17.5" or the medium at 9.5" x 25". I think the small would work best but I don't want it to look dwarfed or crammed into the space. The place is slowly coming together... pics of the apartment should be coming soon!
