Fortress of Solitude

After grabbing some brunch with my girls this morning I ducked in from the rain and settled back on the couch to re-watch Tom Ford's stunning, heartbreaking film A Single Man and fell in love all over again. Oh, that 60s style: those gorgeous interiors, the cars, the clothes, the make-up, Green Onions! As much as I loved the girly lavishness of Charley's home, I'm left drooling over George's mid-century California dream of a glass house. sigh...

I'm back! *sad trombone*

Got back from 5 amazing days at the Delano hotel in South beach Wednesday night... and was greeted with the same dreary grey raininess as when I left. I miss the sun, the heat, and that pool!!

Pics to come... pending the friends' permission, of course...

Up in the Air

By the time this post is published I should hopefully be wandering around the airport terminal giddy and bleary eyed, waiting to board a 6:20am flight to Miami! Because if I'm not that means I either overslept or fatally injured myself trying to cram one to many pairs of heels into my suitcase.

Have a wonderful weekend loves!!xx

Fit for a Queen

Is it sad weird worrisome that I'm 32 years old and all excited-like for tonight's season finale of Gossip Girl?

Watch them all fall down...

Lil' ode to the hotness that is Donna Bottman in the Pet Shop Boys' Domino Dancing video. I've loved this song, and this video since my permed and bespectacled childhood... and still do!   images via

Confessions of a Chocoholic

OMG. I need a Nutella t-shirt.
It's the second best way to profess my undying love for that hazelnutty chocolately deliciousness. The first best way being straight outta the jar with a spoon. Aw yeah, unapologetic gluttony!

Sunshine on a cloudy day...

It finally stopped raining today. The drab, damp, murky crapfest certainly did nothing to elevate my mood this week, it was like a sad trombone was following me everywhere I went. *le sigh*
But this weekend should see some sunshine, more than a few martinis and some quality time with the magnificent creature who birthed me, so the sad trombone player can suck it!

Okay then. Look at these pictures, all Jean-Seberg-on-holiday-like. She looks a little like she's been hassled by that pesky sad trombone player too, but in a much more fabulous manner than myself.

Have a wonderful, mommy-spoiling, sad-trombone-free weekend, loves!xx
